Got a quote for $99 or less? Chances are you’re not getting the “Deep Clean” your Air Conditioner needs.
So what’s the difference?
Aren’t all “Deep Cleans” the same?
Unfortunately not.
The main issue with the $99 “Deep Clean” offered by some companies is that they DO NOT FULLY REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVERS before they clean. (see below image examples)

WHY do these companies leave the covers on?
Well quite simply it saves time…. In fact, leaving the cover-on will reduce the normal cleaning time by more than 50%. That means they can do more jobs in less time & make more money. 😢
Why it is important (where possible) to take ALL of the covers off before cleaning?
1 – It can’t be cleaned properly & will need cleaning more often. Mould & dirt grows both behind & on the back of the covers. Without taking the covers off, there is NO way that all the mould will be removed. That’s not great for your health & the leftover mould grows back 3 X faster & will need cleaning more often.
2 – Leaks cannot be fixed/prevented. Without removing the cover, they cannot clean the condensation line. A blocked condensation line is the #1 cause of water leaks which can damage your walls & flooring & cause significant mould issues throughout your home.
3 – Water Damage. A lot of AC’s have electronic displays built into the covers. Getting water into these can cause electrical faults which can be very expensive to repair.
1 – This is a typical example of the mould & dirt that sits on the back of the covers. This is impossible to clean if the cover is not fully removed.

2 – As your AC gets older the condensation line starts to fill with dirt & debris. Eventually this will clogg up completely & start to cause water leaks. Cannot be properly cleared with the cover still on.

3 – Many AC units have electrical components built into the covers. If they are not fully removed before cleaning, water can enter & cause faults
External Unit Cleaning not included*
Generally the $99 clean doesn’t include cleaning your external unit. There is usually an up-sell for $40-60 to include the external unit. We include the external unit as standard with all our cleans (if accessible)

So before booking in your $99 clean, please make sure you take a closer look at their website & cleaning process so you know exactly what you are getting.
And get the job done properly the first time. Your air will be healthier & your AC won’t need cleaning as often.
